Hello. Hope that someone can help me. After I put my Dell Axim x50v on the cradle, the following message comes up and then just freezes! Msg reads: Connect To 'USB Status: Opening Port CANCEL button Hide Status Button.

The pda freezes at this point. I can click hide status but still not connected. Have soft and hard reset again numerous of times.

Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

NOW know what the problem definitely is.

I had to take my pc back to default state and reinstall all pc programs. However, installed AS 4.0, put PDA on cradle and takes me all the way to connecting on device but keeps saying opening port. In other words, not seeing user authenicated.

When I put pda back to default settings (hard reset) and then put back on cradle (w/o reinstalling apps) it is recognized with the device id of Pocket_PC. However, when I reinstall my apps, neither device id of Pocket_PC or PastorAE is recognized.

Could someone give me step-by-step instructions on reestablishing AS 4.0 connection when you have apps on it? In other words, when I look at my registry on my pda, it shows that my original device id is Pocket_PC but the current one is PastorAE. Should I delete this on the registry? I deleted the folders on my desktop for both of these ids. Anything else I should do?
