Active Sync WON'T SYNC!
Hello,
I have been away from this forum for a couple of years, I just didn't use my AXIM 5 that often, but now that I am back, I can't get my Active Sync to Sync. I am using version 3.8 on a Windows XP machine here at my school. I had no problem in 2003 connecting, but now she just won't sync. When I run the connection wizzard, my XP machine sees that the USB connection is there, and it says connected, but in the main Active Sync window it says, "NOT CONNECTED!" Any ideas? HELP! Thanks! Yes, I have tried just about everything I know how to do. I was Tech Director of my school district for 3 years, and then decided to go back into the classroom. I tried different ports, different versions of Active Sync, Uninstalling and reinstalling OUTLOOK. I just can't get the PC to recognize the unit.

Have you tried completely deleting your profile on the desktop PC and starting from scratch? I had this happen a while back and there was some sort of conflict with the old profile and hte new setup. I deleted the old profile, uninstalled Activesync and got everything back to square one. Then, set everything up like a new user and see if it works.

I don't even get to that point, I have not yet set up a profile, it won't let me. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled things so many times.
