Worried Dell Axim X51v ActiveSync 4.0 / USB Woes

Hi everyone!

I have been reading all the posts here on ActiveSync 4.0 USB connection problems. I had the same thing happen to me. ActiveSync connected fine until yesterday.

I had no idea what the problem was. I tried everything from Microsoft temporary solutions, to reinstalling software, etc.

Finally, I decided to backup my files and did a hard reset on the Dell Axim X51v. After doing so, the unit synced with my computer flawlessly.

Then I went ahead and restored my old settings. After doing so, the unit will not connect synced again. I had the same problem.

I believe that one or more of my installed thired software programs is causing the problem.

Which one do you think it is? I need your help in determing this. The following programs where installed:
Cabinstl
Memaid
SKtools
iLauncher
Pocket Informant 2005

Anxiously waiting for your opinions

Does anyone have the problem where their Axim turns itself on when in the cradle? I have my cradle here ate work and the AC adapter at home. This means I can only charge it at work when it is off. Unfortunately it likes to turn itself on at random intervals (each 1% of charging maybe.) Which means I have to pay attention to it and turn it off every few minutes. Ideas?
