Problem w/ active sync

I have an X5. Its been working great for me. However, i seldom actually sync it. I went to sync it the other day and it doesn't seem to be working. When it is docked in the cradle, user authenticated flashes up quickly and goes away. Active sync on my pc continuously says connecting. If i go into active sync on the hand held, it says not connected. I'm running 2003 and activesync 3.8 i believe. I tried reinstalling active sync to no avail. Any suggestions?

I believe it has to do with the user profile, as there is no profile in the active sync on the pc and there is one on the handheld. Is there a way to clear my handheld of its association to a computer?

OK, so i finally got sp2 on my computer and I installed active sync 4.0. Works fine now.
