I wanted to install Activesync 4.0 on my work computer and I did not have my CD. So I tried to search for it on Microsoft's website. I was not able to find a link to download Activesync 4.x only 3.8. Is there a reason why Microsoft has not released this for download?

Could be because 4.0 is a disaster--at least in my experience. I have been unable to sync my X50v consistently since installing 4.0. Can't even roll back to 3.8; it no longer works right either. I would say if AS 3.8 is working properly for you, stick with that.
