Zone alarm and synch

I cant synch when running zone alarm. Is there tutorial on how to configure zone alarm to work with the axim? I have the axims WIFI IP listed but it appears to use another IP when docked.

I followed the steps and I still have to shut down my firewall to sync.

cant you add activesync to the list of allowed programs in zonealarm...?

Go into ZoneAlarm's Program Control and select and delete the two entries for ActiveSync (there should be an Application and a Connection Manager).

Then start an ActiveSync and choose the "Always Allow" option to permit ZoneAlarm to automatically configure.

I'm syncing with zone alarm without any trouble.
Go to program control and allow active sync to pass through.

I did have some trouble in syncing few hours ago.

I was able to solve the issue by following the steps below:

1. First I deleted the partnership
2. removed the axim from the cradle
3. took out the USB cable from the computer
4. restarted the PC
5. Reattached the USB cable of the cradle
6. Did a soft reset of the Axim
7. Axim back on the cradle
8. Synced successfully

My Zone alarm was on
and I set it to allow AS to pass through

Are you running an X51V or an X50V with WM5, either with ActiveSync 4?
