x50v WM5 upgrade activesync version confilct?
I've upgraded my x50v to WM5. My main computer has no problem connecting and syncing with the x50v. However my laptop (thinkpad T40) is unable to.

I removed activesync. Completely cleaned out the regestry of all references to activesync. Rebooted. Re-installed activesync 4.1 many, many times. And yet, when I connect I get the following dialog box:

Version Conflict Detected
The version of Microsoft ActiveSync is not compatible with the mobile device. Please upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync and reconnect.

This problem occurs with both a direct USB connect or when I connect with bluetooth. Grrrrr. WTF? I doubt it's the x50v because as I said, my other computer works fine.

Does anybody have any ideas what I should try next? I really need to sync with the laptop for work reasons.

Thanks in advance,
-Tom

My problem is a never-ending "retrieving settings" dialogue box. I have hard reset my x50v and reinstalled activesync several times. No love. Any ideas?
