I got my Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade cd for my X50V this past Friday. I installed the upgrade along with the ActiveSync 4.0 that came on the CD. Had nothing but problems with the upgrade and with the AS 4.0. Sync took forever. A separate issue, my pocket pc crashed. Dell sent me a refurbished X50V with WM2003 which I received today. I uninstalled ActiveSync 4.0 and reinstalled ActiveSync 3.7. I can connect but only as a guest. I cannot get a partnership no matter what I do. Dell claims I have a software issue on my computer. "I" say the AS 4.0 screwed up my computer. Dell won't do anything further for me. What can I do to set up a partnership and sync to my "refurbished" X50V. (Crappy of Dell not to send me a new model when their upgrade ruined "my" new model!) Any help I can get will be appreciated. As it stands right now, I have a useless X50V! (I'm very sad!)

do a search on this site and you will find the way to go back to 3.7 or 3.8. you have to delete a couple of things in the registry but i don't remember what they are off the top of my head. try here
