Active Sync and Outlook Problem

Ok I have tred active sync 3.8 4.0 and 4.1. When I install any of em they will never open. I have done every thing. Is it my axim? Or my laptop. On top of that my axim wont sync And I need it for work. We have a meeting with the chief.

I can't help with with the active sync but I can tell you I am in the same boat as you when it comes to syncing. Try reloading your outlook first. I am also still trying to debug so if I figure anything out I'll let you know.

Lets get more information here,

Have you remove reinstall ActiveSync?
Have you rebooted your PC?
Is the PPC connected directly to a USB port not a USB Hub?
Have you soft reset the PPC?
Try to unplug the cradle while the pc is on and replug.
Any reaction on the previous item?

I have also been struggling with syncing outlook and my X50v running wm5. I use the USB cradle plugged directly into a usb port on my computer. I have installed active sync 4.1 (no luck), re-installed outlook (no luck), installed outlook first then active sync 4.1 and 4.0 (no luck). I have done a hard-reset 3 times and that didn't seem to make any difference. I still get the 85010014 error (but I don't have any firewall running).

I can sync using IR with AS4 without problems. This is how I sync to my work computer, but when it comes to my home computer... I am just stymeed...

I am still hunting for a solution (but I suspect there isn't one). Soon I will have to go back to WM2003 which isn't the latest / greatest but did seem to function.

i get the 85010014 error as well. I tried everything to get rid of it. Even had IS reformat my laptop (latitude D610) and i still get it.

i can sync one time then i have to reboot. I believe this is caused by My outlook data connector to Domino Server. I think trying to sync w/ disconnected or cashed data may be the culprit. Of course all this never happened with AS 3.8
