86000108 Error

Hi, can anyone help?

I have a new Axim x51, and am running ActiveSync 4.1. I keep getting this error:

"Activesync encountered a problem with the desktop 86000108"

My Axim syncs notes and files, but not contacts, tasks, calender, or mail.

Frustrated!

I think i know what the problem is, it depens on the email account you have synchronised with it. I think that if you have some of those extrange email accounts like the_gud@ioquweprio.com so you will have to configure a different one.

I ran into the same problem.
Try adding a contact to your PPC and then sync.
Eliminated the error messaage for me.

I have the same error message with my HTC TyTN (PocketPC) and ActiveSync 4.5.0.

Unfortunately, adding a contact on the desktop and another one on the PDA didn't help.

And I figured it shouldn't have anything to do with an e-mail account, because I've never had e-mail on my PDA.

Eventually, I fixed the problem by doing this: On the PDA, go in the Start Menu to Programs, then ActiveSync. Select Menu (bottom right), then Status. The error message then told me what item was causing the problem (it was one of my Contacts). I deleted that item on the desktop and the PDA (and added it back in later), and then the synchronization worked!
