X50 will not ActiveSync with HP Notebook

Since the day I bought my X50 I can't get it to sync with my HP nx7000 notebook. I have spoken to countless support people at both Dell and HP trying every possible fix. Nobody has been able to offer any help. Has anyone else had the same problem? Is there a fix out-there somewhere? Thanks Darren

Since the day I bought my X50 I can't get it to sync with my HP nx7000 notebook (It seems to Sync with any other PC or notebook I've tried). PS I have just downloaded AS4.1 and still not working.

Couple of thoughts:
  1. Check that you have sufficient disk space on the laptop
  2. Check the firewall settings allow a partnership to be established
  3. Worth checking that your regional settings match on both devices

to Aximsite

Can you give us a little more info? Are you getting any sort of error message? Is it not connecting at all?

Thanks for your reply.
Regional settings are the same.
13GIG hard disk space available
I have even turned the firewall off and it still won't sync.

I'm running XP Pro SP2. PDA running WM 2003 V-4.21.1088

When I try to connect the little green wheel whirls around for 10sec and then stops. No error message. ActiveSync simply says No Partnership. I have also tried via both USB and IR.

I have tried another X50 on this notebook, which also has the same problem.
