my x50 crashed due tom power failure when i triedto sync up after charging battery it will not let me use the device name i was using before.

I think after the unit crashed ..the thing is hard reseted .. therefore you need to go into "start"--->>> "settings"--->>> "about"--->>> "device ID"

you need to rename the unit to match the profile name you had previously ... the default after a hard reset is "pocket_PC" ..

if that doesn't work then on your PC ..go to activesync window and delete the current partnership and try syncing again ...you should be able to establish a NEW partnership ;)

What do I lose when I delete a partnership? Do I lose all 'My Docs' files and conduits? Doesnt seem like a net gain if I have to start all over. Am I missing something?
