I'm a Bluetooth newbie too, but somehow I could set up ActiveSync via BT between my X51V(A06 ROM) and Latitude X1.

ActiveSync should be shown there. Check your ActiveSync configuration on PC if it allows connection to COM port which is assigned to a proper BT stuff.

FYI, my configurations on PC are as follows:
(Since I'm using Dell BT Stack on PC, some user-interfaces may differ from yours. But basic elements are the same, I guess.)

1. Control Panel -> Bluetooth Local COM
Find a COM port assigned to a BT COM server.
Mine is COM7=LocalCOM-Server.

2. ActiveSync (4.1) -> File -> Connection Settings
Under "Allow connections to ..." option, select the COM port you found in step one from the list.
Mine is COM7.

Hope this helps.

I'm very confused... I tried yesterday to sync over BT an HP iPAQ 3715 and it workd very fine from the first time... but my axim doesn't find any ActiveSync service, il only found Serial port..
I use D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adapter, maybe the problem is from its driver. In Control Panel -> Bluetooth devices windows cannot find any.. In the "COM ports window" I get the folowing msg: "Windows cannot find any Bluetooth devices. Make sure that your Bluetooth radio is attached to your computer and is turned on, and that your Bluetooth device is turned on. Follow the setup instructions that came with the device, and then click Search Again."
