Tried it, didn't work. (yes I got the wm5 version) it found the mass storage device but then it failed somehow. *sobs*

Id like to connect the axim to the computer without ever needing to use activesuck. Is this possible? Currently I can not make any connection with activesync so any work around would be great.

If it wasn't broken.

I've mailed them about the issue, got an automated answer back.. but I think theyre aware of the problem. It does sound like it should be fixable 'soon enough'.

I downloaded that program a few days ago. When you run the install it tries to install some stuff on the axim as well. Once again, I cant connect to the axim to do so. Its a catch 22.

Uhm. Can't you:
- Send file over IR
- send file over bluetooth
- download file with FTP (over internet)
- mail yourself the file?
- put the file on your SD card

Most or even 'all' installer programs just try to copy the right .cab file to the axim, then run it. You can copy the cab manually and manually run it with a file explorer.

IR stops mid stream
No Bluetooth
I can do the other options....dont know why I didnt think of that Lemme see how she runs!

When the software is installed wHat should be happening when the USB cable is plugged into the PC? It makes the "I am connected" noise. But nothing else happens.

What should be happening is it should show you an extra drive letter. As said, it probably doesn't work with WM5, but I hear it works on other devices.
