ActiveSync Why has it taken so long for this category?

Question ActiveSync corrupted?

I was looking with File Explorer on my Axim X50v - the \Windows\ActiveSync directory has LOADS of what are apparently garbage entries.
Is this why I can't sync anything without synchronization errors?
