Syncing to a corporate server
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to setup my X30 so I can sync with my corporate server? I am new to a firm where all Outlook data is hosted on a corporate server. I cannot get any help from IT. Any help from anyone who has gone through this would be appreciated!

Just tell Activesync to sync with your local Outlook version. Sounds like your corporation doesn't support ActiveSync with servers (actually, I'm not sure I know any corporations that do).

If you're using Outlook Web Access in a hosted service architecture then they may not want desktop outlook. In which case you will need to sync directly with their exchange server. The Activesync app on the Axim allows you to specify the server that you need to sync to, but they have to enable it at their end.
How do to that depends which version of exchange server they are running. I believe that in the most recent version all the functionality is included, it just needs to be enabled. Of course in a hosted email environment it's more likely that they will NOT want to enable this sort of feature.

I went through something similar. My IT department upgraded to exchange enterprise server (I think that's right) and now I sync with the server. I think they have to turn Outlook Mobil Access on. You'll need the address of the server. For me, it was the same as the URL and password I used to access the server through the WWW.
If that doesn't work, you can ask the IT dept. if you have POP3 access. If you do, you can set up your Pocket Outlook to access the exchange server via POP3. This won't sync your calendar or contacts, but you'll get email.

Don't have Exchange setup to try this yet.

Well I finally figured it out with no thanks to my company's Tech Support division. The cause was related to my Mapi32.dll file being updated. The solution was to go to the Help menu in Outlook and select the Detect/Repair option and run it. Once it was complete all I had to do was restart the machine and there was joy in Muddville!
