database synching

Anyone know how to synch an access database with AS4.*/AO6. Alternative databases or third party synching apps would also be fine.

Put the DB to the My Documents folder on your PPC and in ActiveSync select to have the files sync. It will copy the my Document content to the PC in My Documents\Pocket_PC My Documents. If you would like to save space on yout PPC and put the file to a SD or CF card, create a folder in the card name My Documents and delete the text file name Ignore_mydocs. Move the files or DB to the new folder on the card and you will have access to them as if it was in your main memory. The Icon of the files will be different indicating their different location. I hope this helps.
If you get dead silence after breaking the speed of sound, would you be in the darkness after passing the speed of light?

That will move the files between the desktop and the PPC but I don't think it will synchronize the databases. I thought the the conduit that used to be included in AS converted between the Pocket Access and the desktop Access formats and synchronized the data. That is what is missing in AS4.

In fact, AS4 does not even transfer the file to my PPC. The file shows up in the My Docs folder and in AS4 options, but does not transfer. Any idea why this and Pocket Access was dropped from AS4/WM5, and will this ever become available?

In AS4 and WM5, MickeySoft stopped supporting synching Access files with the PPC.

This one has me so P*#$ed you just don't know.

I asked the vendor of the PPC database that I use about this and they told that they were working on an update that would work with WM4/AS4. They hoped to release it before Christmas but that depended in part on MS making the conduit available. It did not happen. I have since seen a note somewhere that MS would release the conduit in Jan/Feb but I do not remember where I saw it or how reliable it was.
