Active Sync keeps turning on my X51v

I have my X51v connected to my PC via ActiveSync 4.1.

I press the power button on my x51v to turn it off, or put it in standby mode, whatever you wanna call it.

A few minutes later the thing turns back on to do a sync I guess. How do I turn off this automatic sync when I have it in standby.

Thanks

I wish I had your problem. I would be lucky to get it to sync period.

Get this free download: http://micrologics.co.uk/library/ast/

Create a shortcut of this program on your desktop.
After you're done syncing, turn off your Axim in the cradle, run this program to deactivate active sync. When it's done deactivating activesync you can turn back on your Axim and activesync will not run.
Use your Axim in the cradle while it charges or turn it off. :approve:

Run the program again to turn activesync back on.

This is getting ridiculous...I have the Axim cradle on my home PC and I got the USB travel cable to use at work for syncing.

At work, I can get my Axim to sync no problem, but if I put the Axim in stand-by mode by pressing the power button, the Axim would come back on in a few minutes and sync up. This is a pain cause the Axim doesnt charge using the travel cable unless it's in standbye mode.

So, I downloaded AtciveSync Toggle and it was able to turn off Active Sync - but my Axim keeps on connecting to my PC - the balloon shows up saying that Local Area Connection 2 is now connected - ActiveSync does not load, but my Axim I guess reconnects to the PC for some reason.

Seems like I cant use the travel cable to charge the Axim, since the Axim keeps connecting to the PC - and when it's connected to the PC it wont charge!!

Did you ever resolve this?

I got my very own Axim X50v yesterday (running WM5) and downloaded the latest Active sync.
After lots of problems (mainly due to my firewall getting in the way) It's syncing and working now, but like you. With my Dell on the Cradle, I press the top power button, and it turns off (or standby) then 3 mins later active sync starts up again and powers my Axim back up again.

Every (approx 3 to 5 mins - not timed it yet) it happens.

WHY ???

Ok guys. Activesync is on defult mode. Meanings that it will try to sync about every 4min. You can change this setting. The best way to do it is by this method. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=104366 Solsie made it. Good luck guys.
