Hi,

I have just installed, for the first time, ActiveSync 4.0 on my Win XP pro PC. The PDA is an Axim x51v.

During the software install and at the point of connecting up the cradle and PDA, the PC froze and I had to reboot.
Once rebooted the PC recognised new hardware and continued but I did not get an option to set up a partnership and name that partnership.

It appears the setup did set the partnership as standard as I can syncronise with no apparent problems.
The partnership name created is the default with the result that I have a folder called WM_computer name My Documents.

How may I change this partnership name ?

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to Aximsite!

To change your device name, just go to Start - System - Settings tab - About - Device ID. You can just resync it and it should take on the new name. You might also want to delete the old partnership to tidy up but that's not necessary. Delete by going to File - Delete Partnership on your Desktop ActiveSync.
