Dell 9100 laptop, windows XP SP2, Axim x50v 2003SE, ActivSync 3.8 windows default firewall, avast antivirus.
If I have my Axim connected to my computer during startup no message but if I don’t (which is most of the time) I get this annoying message, how to get rid off it.

Microsoft activesync cannot recognize this device for one or two reasons:
The device was not connected properly. To start over, disconnect the cable and remove the device from its cradle. Then, connect the cable to the PC, turn on the device, and place the device in its cradle.
