Sync issue

I have a newbie question. I am new to windows pda's. I have an Axim x51v and am syncing to a windows xp machine. I can sync with no problems and if I have installed software it will do the auto installation on the pda. What I am unable to do is copy files from my desktop to the pda. I have a skin that I bought and a couple of other files that I need to put in folders on the pda and it will not let me copy the files over.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the explore option in Active Sync? All you have to do is open a folder using explore and then drag files from your XP machine to the open PDA folder.

Yes, it will not let me drag, copy, or paste to the pda. Very strange given that it will actually sync and install executable software.

Have you upgraded to Active Sync 4.1, if not here's the URL

I forgot to mention that firewalls and anti-virus programs can cause problems with Active Sync. If updating to 4.1 doesn't help try disabling firewall first and then anti-virus.
