Duplicate birthdays after syncing!

I've seen some info on this issue here, but I still do not know exactly how to fix the problem. Is there a thread I've missed explaining how to resolve this issue?
I'm using PI with PB and everytime I sync, I have to delete the duplicate birthdays and anniversaries created in the calendar on my pocketpc. Any help would be appreciated!

Try double checking these settings:

Open Outlook on the pc
Open the inbox
click tools tab
click preferences
click email options
put a check mark in each box BUT the top one
on replies....do not include
on forwarding....include
NO CHECK IN BOTTOM BOX
---------------------------
click mail setup tab
click email accounts
check the view or change box
this brings up another page showing the email accounts that you have set up....it should not be blank
highlight your account and click change
look very closely...this is where most errors occur...look at every word, every period
all 6 boxes need to be filled in
leave secure authentification unchecked
now click on "test account settings"
did it pass? if so...problem solved
if not, cick the "errors" tab and tell me what it says

there are several other settings but lets stop here and see if it now works...if not, we'll look further
remember to let me know!

Just a thought but if all else fails there is a pice of PC Freeware called "Outlook Duplicate Remover" that cleans up Outlook and it might help

http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#dupes

about half way down, the last entry under Duplicate Checkers

kenvan54, I do not have outlook 2002 as my default email. I use outlook express for that. So I dont even have an email account setup under outlook 2002. I had some trouble setting up email when I started using my ppc to sync, so I just never sync my ppc with outlook mail.

Edit: I do have an account setup but like I said, I do not sync with mail. Also the reason why I decided not to use it was because I kept getting protocol errors when I would send out emails. It had something to do with my virus software. When doing the test account settings, all of the checks would show as completed but the protocol error would keep it from sending the message. I checked the firewall settings and it has full access.
