Problem deleting emails - activesync attention required

Hi,

Have X50V with Activesync 3.8 running W2003 mobile.

Was synching perfectly fine, then I noticed a load of emails from last year that had not synced up. Deleted them from the device.

Deleted quite a few, but there are about 10 emails that just won't delete.

To make matters worse, when I try and sync now, INBOX will not sync and comes up with Attention required. When I click resolve issue, I get a box that says items cannot be synchronised, disconnect and reconnect device.

Tried this several times plus performed soft and hard reset. Problem will not go away. When I performed hard reset, I did restore old backup, so guess must be a registry type of problem. Would like to avoid having to reinstall everything again if possible.

Any ideas appreciated.

I had a similar problem with x51v and ActiveSync. It would not sync my contacts and today I had an issue with it not syncing one of my notes. I had to delete the note from the Axim and it worked.

To resolve the issue with the contacts I created a new contact on the Axim and then run the sync again. This got rid of the issue. Not sure if something similar may work for the email issue. Give it a shot.

One other thing to try would be to sync the unit after you do a hard reset without restoring your apps. This way you can verify if it's a problem on the PC or the Axim.

Hi,

Thanks for the update.

Just to say, I finally overcame the problem by reinstalling Activesync on my pc and then creating a new partnership. All that seems to work fine and email now syncs again.

I still have about 5 emails I cannot delete, but if and when I do a rom upgrade or hard reset, I think they will go then.
