ActiveSync Broke WMP on Desktop?

Hi everyone, I recently uninstalled Internet Explorer 7, which caused me to have to repair ActiveSync and reinstall Outlook 2003. Ever since, WMP10 on my Windows XP desktop sometimes hangs on startup whenever ActiveSync is connected. Anybody else seen this? EDIT: I think I posted too soon... It looks like my Axim is freezing (sort of responds, but won't do anything, requiring soft reset), ActiveSync on the desktop is getting stuck on "Looking for changes...", and WMP is hanging trying to check its sync partnership with the CF card in my Axim...
