How do I removed duplicate contact and calendar entries

After a couple of replacement x50s and an upgrade to an x51v I have muptiple duplicates in my contact (4 of everything) and some duplicates in my calendar. Is there some easy way to fix this. I don't want to have to remove them by hand.

Thanks

Here is a free tool to remove duplicates - http://www.easy2sync.com/en/sync/dup...hp?googlead199

I haven't used, but it is worth a try!

Kaisoft's Outlook Cleaner does a great job, too.

I've used this trick and it works like a charm. You usually get duplicate contacts/calendar when you restore from a backup.

-before restoring from the backup, backup BLANK PIM (PIM only).
-restore from full back-up.
-restire Blank PIM (this simply erases all your contacts/calendar, but keeps all your software programs)
-sync to your desktop, and the single copy of your contacts/calendar will be back.

I find this the quickest, easiest and safest way. I now always keep a Blank PIM backup on my SD cars.

Edge777 - Your method works if you don't already have the duplicates in Outlook. Another way to prevent the duplicates would have been to create a new partnership and tell activesync to overwrite the items on the device with the items on the PC.
