Active sync problem

Getting the following message;
Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able tol og on to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and sync again.

The only part that is not getting sync are the NOTES but the rest is OK

Thanks for all the help that you will give me as I would like to solve this problem

Claude,

take a look a MS Article 305544 - Notes Do Not Synchronize with Device Through ActiveSync

at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305544/en-us

(talks about Outlook PST file being damaged)

Hope this helps.

Claude,

found that article when working the same error msg on friends Axim.

But, we found for our issue, if we opened Outlook prior to sync'ing it worked normally. (Task manager only had one copy of Outlook running.)

If we sync'd prior to opening Outlook, then activesync would open a version of outlook that had permissions issues (and we get the error msg). Then if you opened Outlook you would find two versions of outlook running in Task manager.

So try opening Outlook prior to sync'ing.

The wonderful world of Microsoft.

Would one of your file be on a network and when you Sync your file no access to the network is available.
If you get dead silence after breaking the speed of sound, would you be in the darkness after passing the speed of light?
