I've had my 50V for some time and have had no troubles at all. For a reason that is unknown to me yesterday when placed in the cradle active sync would start up, but not sync. It just says connected and the manual sync option is grayed out.

I restarted my desktop and did a soft reset on the 50v and nothing changed. Screen says it's connected, but no sync options. By the way in the past it would look for changes automatically, but not now,

I updated active sync on my desktop and did another restart and soft reset on the 50v without any luck.

I've read that this happened to others , but a restart took care of the issue, sadly that is not the case for me. Any suggestions?

I had this problem once. It turned out to be the multiple users on my xp computer. Whoever logged on first could sync. That solved my problem.

Kind of you to respond. I have stumbled on the issue. I recently updated a program called avant Go and it must have done something. I removed it from the x50v and my desktop and now my active sync works just fine.
