ActiveSync Now Errors and won't sync

Help!

I cant get my axim to sync with either the home or work pc now. This had been working fine since Early January. History: I have X51v flashed to A06 and running AS 4.1 on both pcs. Work has cradle and home has Dell travel cable with external power. ~ two weeks ago I could sync. I did try and was successfull in using wifi to connect to internet using my home linksys router. I don't know if using wireless would toggle some setting to not accept synching over USB afterwards. Shortly afterwards I had my Axim hang up and it wouldn't shut down. IT wouldn't soft boot. It wouldn't hard reset. I pulled the battery and had to reinstall my software. after this (last week) I haven't been able to get a sync with either PC. I get an error that synchronization cannot complete and to reinsert my axim. If that doesn't work run the troubleshooter, which of course is useless. Any suggestions? I am pretty clueless about network adapters and such, so if there are some settings that could have been bungeled because of wireless net surfing or hard resetting please tell me. Also somewhere I read that you were supposed to remove the SD card during a hard reset. I didn't know this and didn't do this. I don't want to go through that again unless it is really necessary. I am looking for any and all help. Please!!!!

First of all, are you sure that you have an x51? WM5 won't do a hard reset just by pulling the battery. That is the best part of WM5. So pulling the battery shouldn't cause anything to happen that would require you to re-install all of your software. Using wireless also should not have any effect on your ability to connect to AS so long as you didn't make some sort of changes in your attempt to connect it. If you haven't made any changes like adding a firewall or installing new software then I would try deleting one of your partnerships on one pc. do this by not having the pda connected then go to the ActiveSync on the pc. make sure that the current pda name shows on the screen then file>Delete Mobile Device. Do a soft reset on the pda then connect it after it is completely back up and running. AS should find it and bring it back. Hope this helps and please let us know.

I do have an X51v

I tried to soft reset several times. It kept freezing at the Dell splash screen. I tried to hard reset and that wouldn't work either. Nothing could get past freezing at the Dell splash screen. It was at this time that I pulled the battery. Probably this allowed the hard reset to complete.

I have taken a screen shot of the error (see next post below).
