I've tried to install active sync 4.1 but i keep getting this message. I have tried to uninstall Active Sync 3.8 and remove all the files manually but with no luck.
Please help me because I can't solve this Problem.

Have you tried downloading activesync 4.1 instead. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ivesync41.mspx to download it

I tried many, many of the suggested ways to make this software work. Settings on the Firewall, loaded 4.1 from the site (even that is what came with my machine, talked with tecks at Dell (what a waste of time that was, just horrible), had a geek come and help, but, NOTHING worked. Since I had used Intellisync for years with my palm 0s, and knew that is a great piece of software, I went ahead and purchased Intellisync and loaded it and now I have NO PROBLEMS at all.

The problem is with the installshield installer. Try cleaning your temp files and also goto Add\Remove programs and check to see if there are any Installshield Update entries.

Aside from that there are only two other options to clear up the problem.
