Aximsiteactivesyncicon active sync problem

i have a problem , when i connect my axim 51 to my laptop with widows xp sp2, the acive sync start automatically and keep saying (connecting) and all buttons in the active sync in shadow, i chaked the firewall and still not working, can any one tell me how to work it ? is it neccessary to establish an internet connection to connect my axim?

also the axim say it is a problem of connection with the server? how i can overcome this problem and how to set the connection ???

Try disabling any firewalls you may have running. They sometimes get in the way of the PC-PPC connection
