ActiveSync problem

I have a sync problem that just started and I can't seem to figure out how to resolve it. If anyone out there can help I would appreciate it. I have an axim
X50v and when I go to sync it with my desktop it will not sync and a message come up Pocket PC Networking "unable to obtain a server asigned IP address. Then there is also a "view support code" message that come up on the screen and when I tap it I get a "code" but what do I do with this code.
Anybody out there encounter this problem that can help me thru it???

Thanks,

The 'unable to obtain ..' message just means your Axim's wireless card can't get a DHCP (dynamically assigned) address. Often, just disabling and re-enabling wireless (maybe a couple times) will get past this - or do a soft reset and then try. If you do that and still see same error, you may want to check that your wireless router is doing ok - try release / renew of IP on your laptop or whatever PC you have around.
HTH ...

You get that error when you're running PIE with the WiFi on while trying to sync. ActiveSync won't allow that. It assigns a client/server Static IPs when your Axim is in the cradle.

To get rid of the error, turn off WiFi/PIE whenever you sync. You don't have to do anything with the error message.

You may run PIE using the LAN (without WiFi) if you wish when your unit is docked.
