Hi, I have been viewing this geat site for a while and is actually I reason I eventually bought an Axim X51v a few weeks ago. All is ok so far except for a problem which seems to be activesync related.

Activesync syncs ok and I can copy files back and forth... However when activesync is enabled (by default at startup) my pc locks up completely from time to time for no apparent reason, forcing a hard reboot. I am using Win XP Pro SP2 and also use Outpost forewall Pro. I have setup the access rules on Outpost already to ensure that syncs and copies etc all work fine.
The PC has locked up with activesync enabled even when the Axim is not in its cradle, effectively idle. Note only software installed on the PC recently has been Activesync and outlook 2002.


Currently I have removed the autorun registry entries so that activesync does not startup automatically and that seems to have resolved/avoided the problem. However I have searched the forums and despite the many complaints I have seen about "activestink" in general I have not seen PC lockup issues. I think it may a problem between my firewall and activesync....

Anyone had similar problems?
