Hi All,
I've just updated my Axim x50v to WM5. I didn't have any problems with synchronization over bluetooth, however, my USB connection never worked.
I went thru all ideas listed in
http://www.aximsite.com/articles/link.php?id=339
None of them worked. I'm using Windows Firewall only and added suggested TCP and UDP ports. Tried turning off the firewall, removing USB drivers etc etc.

I decided to degrade to WM 2003SE to have my Delorme GPS back to work and now a big hit. I can not flash my ROM because of inactive USB connections. Please help! Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. Axim 51v, Winxp SP2. I have disabled the Windows firewall, it's the only one on the PC. I have reinstalled AS4.1, performed hard resets on the AXIM, tried different usb ports. I'm at a loss. I have also checked the network connections and everything seems to be fine. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, I was running an Axim5 with AS 3.7 and it worked fine for a couple of years. I uninstalled AS 3.7 before installing AS4.1.

I uninstalled the Cisco VPN, AS 4.1. I then reinstalled only AS4.1 and now it works fine. I was not even using the VPN at the time, it must have made changes to some comm setting in windows which was causing all this grief. Might be worth checking to see if you have any VPN software on your PC and removing it. Good luck Cubus. Finally it works.
