Worried Backup Issues/ where's the files on desktop?

hi there... i had an issue i needed my x3 repaired.. sent it into pocketpctechs, and they wiped it out... in the meantime my desktop went berserk and i've had to install a second version of windows on there to take ownership of my files and back them up... i've almost done now, and will have to wipe my desktop s hd ... only thing is, now i have a problem... can't find my old contacts for the ppc on my desktop's files, and i need to erase my hd to get the desktop up and running again...

HELP!!!

do a search for all files including hidden files and look for this:
*.pst
Outlook files end in .pst
Once you find it, and there may be a few, copy it or them, wipe your drive, put them back and you should be good to go. However, next time, use the built in utility in Outlook to back up Outlook files:

File > Import and Export > Export to a file > personal file .pst

You can also use that to import saved files
