Activesync Fault after Downgrade

Hi, I have a Dell Axim x50v which I upgraded to WM5 from 2003se. This was a
complete failure and unworkable. I downgraded back to Win2003se which is
working well, but I uninstalled Activesync 4 & reinstalled 3.8 & all seemed
okay...However, when i dock my dell it is detected by active sync but that is
all, i cant open the window to setup a partnership, explore the
device...etc..etc...no errors though. when I reboot my pc, activesync doesnt
autorun & I can see it in msconfig under services or the startup tab...I have
installed and reinstalled, but no difference...

I uninstalled activesync from my laptop also and reinstalled 3.8 & all is
okay.....

Not sure what has happened on my PC

Any ideas

John
