Hi there, I want to buy an Axim x30 but my pc uses windows 98. Can I use windows 98 with the x30? Thanks

You can use ActiveSync 3.8 which works fine with Windows 98 so you shouldn't have any problems.

Great! I've been looking around and I can't decide between a zire 31 or an axim x30. Is it going out of date? I understand the differences between the 2 but the axim is twice the price but seems to have so much more to offer. Does ActiveSync 3.8 come included or do I have to get it elsewhere? Thanks a lot!

ActiveSync can be obtained from Microsoft for free, so don't worry about that. Which model X30 were you considering? The high model (with wifi, BT and 624MHz processor) would be my pick (I had one and loved it) if you want one that will do pretty much everything a top of the line PPC can do. :)
