I may have missed something but My X51v will autosync while it is connected to the PC . I want to stop this as it drains the battery if the charger is not connected . I seem to remember either my X3i or A.S 3.8 having an option to manually sync . Thanks in advance .

For USB PDA charging you need ActiveSyncToggleBeta ; you may learn more here: thread:ActiveSync fix


What I do is "Enable AS" before I connect my AXIM to sync it.
I "Disable AS" when and connect it to the PC if I just want to charge the battery.

I may have mis-stated the issue . What I wanted was to disable activesync from auto-syncing with the PDA . I seem to remember in 3.8(?) there being an option to manually sync . I can not find an option like that in 4.1 . I don't necessarily want to charge the Axim but I want to keep it from turning on by itself (thus draining the battery ) . Thanx for the reply though .

YOu are correct about 3.8. I cannont find that manual option in 4.1 either. Therefore what I told you above is how I keep the Axim from turning on by itself (battery drain) when it is connected. Dude, just try it out. If you find a better way, let me know.

To stop syncing on the PC, go to network connections and disable the windows mobile device network connection. When you want to sync you will have to enable this connection.
