Icon13 Can't do a hard-reset

I can't even do a hard-reset on my Axim (X50v) now.

I've re-installed AS4.1, but I can't get my Asim to move beyond the slider bar at the bottom of the screen when doing a reset.

Any ideas? or is my device TOTALLY messed up?

Karen

You don't need ActiveSync for a hard reset. Just hold down the power button while doing a soft reset (push stylus into reset hole).

I know. I had re-installed AS earlier and then ended up needing to do a reset on the PDA and the PC. The PC came back up, but my Axim was left with the slider bar about 1/2" to go and it FROZE.
Now it won't do a hard-reset, even if I take the battery out.

I went over to Dell's site to see if they had any words of wisdom. I'm beginning to think I should ask for a new PDA.

Ah, ok. Are you running WM2003SE? If so, leave your battery out for at least 30 minutes, longer if necessary. If you're running WM5 then leaving the battery out won't do you any good.

Running WM5.
And Dell is NO help!

The only 'good' thing is I did a backup yesterday afternoon onto my SD card, so at some point, I should be able to restore my system to that point in time...I hope.
