time change, zone change SNAFU

This sounds like an algebra problem but it is not (or at least I don't think so..)

I moved my laptop one time-zone east, so I skipped an hour forward. During the time I moved and re-synced my stuff, daylight savings took effect so we skipped an hour forward that way too.

I noticed that when I finally synced my stuff, all my appointments were one hour off --they appeared one hour later than they actually were in "contacts."

I did a hard reset and now, not only are my appointments still one hour off but the contacts won't sync at all.

The clocks are set right on the laptop and on the axim -- both are on mountain time too.

Wha?!

The appointment times change whenever you change the time zone on your PPC. That is, the appointments are set relative to GMT. DST is the only thing that actually adjusts the GMT time to keep the times correct, but this only works when the PC is set to automatically adjust to the change (this setting is the default on the PPC and I do not believe it can be changed).

It sounds like when you synced the first time, the PPC's settings overrode the PC's and changed all of the times (actually, keeping them the same time relative to GMT). Then, after the hard reset, it synced them back to the PPC.

I do not think there's any way to fix it besides actually physically changing the times.

As for the contact syncing. If you have a lot of contacts, I've found it usually works best to uncheck all the sync options (on the PC, Tools, Options), disconnect and reconnect the PPC and then recheck just the contacts. Once they have finished being added to the PPC, you can check the additional items you want (calendar, email, files, etc.).
