Aximsiteactivesyncicon Outlook Error Message

I chose not to instal Outlook as I will be using a different mail system with work. Each time I open ActiveSync, I get a message stating I must install Outlook and set it as my default mail client. Does anyone know how I can stop that message from coming up?

In ActiveSync on your PC, click on tools and then options. Make sure all Outlook areas are unselected (contacts, calendar, task, notes and email).

I am having the same irratation. Are you also getting the Add/Remove program list coming up at the same time? I have searched this site a lot, and have seen no other posts but this one on this problem. I even set Outlook as my default mail client to try to make it stop, but the error messages keep appearing every time I put my Axim in the cradle.

Hey anyone else have the problem or a solution?
