Not sure what you are asking. If you disable it it won't stay connected. Could you give more details on what you are trying to do and the results expected.

I'm using active sync 4.1, whenever I put Axim on cradle the activesync windows popup onscreen (as notification that activesync is now syncronize & connected).

But I would like to disable this pop up windows without shutting down activesync function. It's like to disable its popup reminder & keep activesunc runs normal on system tray

You can minimize it but when cradled, you axim is always connected and activesync will periodically sync with your axim. The only way to have you device cradled an not have activesync activate would be to fully poweroff your device. Doing this you would just be charging your device without being connected. So what I am saying is whenever you are connected, activesync is on and will continuously sync at various intervals.

There should be an option to turn off the popup when connected. Look for a checkbox labeled something like "Open ActiveSync when connected" in the options.

Tools|Options|Rules tab. Uncheck the Open ActiveSync when my mobile device connects option.

Actually I was just going to edit this message when I got back to my home computer to check where it was. Thanks for posting it DoDoubleGeo.

I have the similar, but not the same problem.

Active Sync all the time is active at my PDA! I mean whenever I turn on my Axim, Active Sync is running. I can switch it off but in 10 minutes I find it running again!

It is significant that there were no connection to computer during this period of time. After Soft Reset Active Sync doesn't start automatically.

So what is going on? How can disable this annoying function? Or I probably have a ghost living at my PDA?

I'm using active sync 4.1 and I have Axim 51v (WM5).

Sounds like you may need to do the 'fake server trick' (search for it on these forums)....? It keeps AS from opening up every 10 minutes and trying to sync even though your Axim is not connected to a computer.

I have the same problem with the pop up window on my computer when activesync connects to my X51V. If I remember I never did this before until I did a hard reset on the X51v. I can turn off activesync but I don't want to do that. I want the activesync to run but not the pop window on my desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

Might you be able to front-end AS with a PIF and have it run minimized?

I open the activesync v 4.2 on the computer and go to tool/options but there is no rules tab. I have only the files and folders I want sync'd to the axim X51v. Now I might be going to the wrong place and if so please advise.
