Aol will stop Intellisync may 31, 2006

FROM AOL: The free Intellisync program you have been using will be turned off on May 31, 2006. This notice is to inform you of upcoming changes that will affect how you sync beginning next month.

They say to go to PLAXO because it is FREE. Well it's $50/year.

Here is what I am trying to do - I use the AOL calendar and address book and up to now have intellisync-ed it to my Axim. I'm not going to pay $50/year to PLAXO. I do NOT need my emails on my Dell Axim.

Any thoughts? I feel like have been totally 'had.'
Oh Plaxo told me to go to AOL and have them walk me through exporting my calendar to my desktop as a vcf file. After 40 minutes with plaxo and 40 minutes with aol without an answer I gave up.

Any advice would be great please.

Gotta agree - ditch AOL. Not a fan of Plaxo either - seems intrusive, and generates spam basically - sending out the "I'm updating my address book...." junk way too often ...
