Cannot Sync Outlook Express Contacts

Hi All,

I have just converted to a Dell Axim X51 and I am trying to sync the Outlook Express Contacts to my Dell.

When activesync runs it sync's the few addresses I have in Outlook 2003, but I no longer use this and want to sync my Outlook Express contacts - if possible!!

I have checked that Outlook Express is my default mail handler by running

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg

but this did not fix the problem, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Julian

You can't sync with Outlook Express. Active Sync can sync with Outlook. If you want, you can import all your outlook express contacts into Outlook and then sync them that way. Maybe other people have a way to sync with Outlook Express, but I don't think you can.

Thanks for that, I did think about doing that but then I would have to keep both lists up to date.

If anyone else knows if it is possible to sync outlook express then I would be grateful to hear from you.

cheers

In Outlook Express click on Addresses, in Addresses click on tools, then options. Select the button that says "Share contact information among Microsoft Outlook......."
This will keep Outlook Express and Outlook synced automatically
