Synchronization error
AXIMX51V, ActiveSync 4.1, Windows XP SP2 corporate-managed PC with Cisco Security Agent and perhaps other network software.
The AXIM is recognized by ActiveSync, it is set up as partner okay, the synchronization starts and the PC shows "Looking for changes". Eventually the process fails with ActiveSync showing "Synchronization error"
The Explore icon does work, I can copy files to and from the AXIM, I can install programs on the AXIM. Numerous hard resets, PC reboots, software removal and reinstallations, USB HUB and no HUB have made no improvement.
The synchronization works fine at home (Windows XP + Trend PC-Cillin with firewalls shut off) using same ActiveSync software.
Lines from WCESMgr.log follow. Does anyone know what these error codes mean? Perhaps I can't fix it, but at least I can have information to discuss it with the corporate IT folk.
