I have had my X50 running just skippy for some time now. Now I have a new laptop and need to setup ActiveSync. Do I stick with 3.8 which worked ok or do I upgrade to 4.x? How do I do this without ActiveSync duplicating all my appointments or wreaking other forms of havoc?

Anything else I’m missing?

Thanks,
Dave

You do NOT upgrade the Active Sync to 4.x. Stay w/3.8. Otherwise you lose several functions. 4.x is meant for wm5, 3.8 is for wm2003. Do yourself a favor and DON'T upgrade. Enjoy your new computer.
