Old and New Versions

I'm considering grabbing an X51 before and if Dell pulls the plug (and before and if my old X5 gives up the ghost)--but it just occured to me: How do you who have different devices sync them? I know the newer models have different cradles and use the newer versions of AS. Can you have both on your computer at the same time? How have you handled that?

You can have both cradles connected but cannot sync at the same time. Also keep in mind that getting an X51 will mean upgrading to ActiveSync 4.x, which has a bunch of its own hassles (e.g., firewall workarounds, no more wifi sync).

Thanx. Yeah, that bloody AS4 is what has me hesitating. I may have antique equipment, but I keep watching these threads and I don't have half the hassles you guys do---and I've NEVER had one problem with the old AS---so I am reluctant (.......oh but VGA!!!!!......)
Thanx much for your input.

Great Day you can have the best of both worlds by getting an x50v that is still under warranty.
