Synchronizing and synchronizing and...
When I conect my x51v to the cradle, Activesync automatically starts up and the status says "synchronizing." However, it just stays in that status and never completes the sync

I've tried the fix that has you go through network connections > properties > and make sure that "Client for...", "File and printer sharing...", and "Internet protocol" are all checked - and they all were already checked.

In the meantime, my Activesync is still "synchronizing" - it never seems to timeout - and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Please assist!

Thanks in advance

Have you tried removing the device from ActiveSync and setting up a new partnership? Sometimes starting from scratch makes it so you can have everything work perfectly.

I've discovered that it is a firewall issue. The only workaround that I've found is to completely disable the firewall before synching....I'm sure that there is an easier workaround - I just don't know what it is

what firewall are you using?

by chance, i had a thought.
try opening ports 3000 through 3031, port 5656, and port 1026 on your firewall. see if you have the issue still.
