Here's a link to a desktop utility called NukAS (Nuke Active Sync).
With this utility you can instantly kill running ActiveSync processes (saves you from terminating the process using the Windows Task Manager) or re-establish connection using the green button without the need to restart your machine (desktop or device).
I'll have to try this one.
I'd always used ActiveSyncToggle but the latest ActiveSync seems too resilent for it
ASToggle seems to kill it just fine but then a while later I'll notice that it's reloaded itself.
