I downloaded AS 4.1 from Microsoft onto my laptop PC and installed it without any problems. When I connected my Axim X30 PDA, it recognized the exiting partnership and synchronized with no problems.

I am curious, however: did the X30 get an updated AS version automatically? How can I determine whether my Axim has the latest & greatest AS 4.1? If I need to do something to cause the X30's version to update, what do I do? I looked at add/remove programs, but ActiveSync was not on the list.

activesync lives at the pc end... so it sounds like you're good to go :)

Basically no update is needed on the PPC side. The portion installed on the PPC works and get recognized by every version of ActiveSync installed on a PC.

I am running WM5 and when I look at the file properties with Resco File Explorer there is no version number. Sorry BTW Welcome to Aximsite :approve:

Since it's not upgradeable it's likely a moot point. I suppose you have the WM2003SE version.
