Hi, I have Win XP Pro with Active Sync. I have tried versions 4.0-4.2. They suddenly just stopped working!!!! I have an x51v.
It was working, but now, it says:
ActiveSync Could Not Complete Successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists, see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer.
Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same trouble....reinstalled and deleted all references to ActiveSync 4.2 that I could find in registry and on drive and this helped a little...now it syncs every now and then.....most times NOT when I need it too!
LOL, I don't know how to fix it. I have never have activesync and it has never hindered me. Get a card reader and a SD card and you will be doing fine.

Try moving all files out of the transfer directories on both devices. then reboot the PC and softreset the axim. This has happend to me when attempting to sync large files or if a file gets corrupted. Make sure both transfer directories are clean, nothing in them. Then maybe after you sync a file may appear. Delete that one to. I don't know where it comes from when syncing between two empty directories???? After syncing on empty directories put back only files you really need synced and see what happens.
I'm also have problems with Active Sync connecting. I've never had this problem before and now all of a sudden out of nowhere, it can't connect my pda to my laptop to sync!!!! What the hell :realmad: Could the culprit be the windows update that recently happened?
Hmm...... I'll back up my data and try a hard reset. If that works...... well...... I only spent like 3 hrs cusomiszing..... At least school ends in like a week.

Let us know how you get on. I don't want to hard reset but if it fixes the problem I guess I will have to. Wonder how long it will last.
I had other issues and dreaded doing a hard reset. My Axim was working ok but I decided to do a hard reset today and re-install everything. took about a half hour and everything works smoothly.
also gave me a chance to make sure some programs I tried installing and removed were completely eliminated. Some programs seem to have left bits of themselves behind.

What I ment was the folder on your PC where the files are synced and the my documents on the axim where the files are synced. On your desk top you have a linke to Axim_name My Docuemts, right. rename it, delete everything in it, move all files out -which ever you like just clean it out completely. Same on the axim clean out the my documents folder completely and then reboot, soft restart and sync. When you do a hard reset all those files will be gone right, so save the rest and move/delete the files.
I think this problem is caused by corrupted files and attempting to sync them. It has happend to me and this is what I did to fix it.
